Occupations that Require License or Professional Status for SINP

If you are looking to immigrate to Canada through the SINP, it is importance to check whether your occupation does not require license or professional status to work in Saskatchewan. Occupations that require license or professional status to practice must meet SINP’s specific requirements and the professional association or body’s requirements in order for SINP to proceed with your application.   • Occupation in demand applicants must provide a Letter of Approval for confirming completion of trade qualifier assessment (step 1) and that you are eligible to write exams in Saskatchewan.

To work in Saskatchewan as an electrician, you must meet the certification requirements for Electricians (NOC 72200) and the scope of the construction electrician trade in Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists (SIA)

  • Provide a copy of valid membership with Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists
  • Provide a copy of the documentation you received from the SIA’s Admissions and Registration Committee
    detailing:
    • your “Conditional approval” for membership as an articling member; or
    • your “Approval” for membership as an articling member
  • If your education is in a discipline other than agrology, the SIA will not assess your credentials. Provide your
    educational credential assessment (ECA) from a designated organization.

Canadian Architectural Certification Board (CACB)

  • Provide your “Academic Certification” documentation.
  • Or documentation showing your acceptance into the Broadly Experienced Foreign Architect (BEFA) program including an invitation to apply to the self-assessment phase (2nd step).

  • 42201 – Social and community service workers

 Saskatchewan Ministry of Education

  • Level II or III Early Childhood Educator Certification is required for SINP eligibility.
  • Provide copies of your assessment letter, the Early Learning and Child Care Assessment Sheet, and your Certificate of Qualification at Level II or III in Early Childhood Education from the Saskatchewan Ministry
    of Education.

The occupation for the above requirements:

  • 42202 – Early childhood educators and assistants
